Nalgonda: District Education Officer (DEO) of Nalgonda, Bollaram Bikshapathi, was caught red-handed by his wife, Bollaram Madhavi, living with another woman without finalising a divorce from her. On Thursday, Madhavi went to his rented house in Ravindra Nagar and caught him and his paramour, Sunitha, together. Upon receiving information, Nalgonda Town-II police arrived at the scene and persuaded Madhavi to file a formal complaint instead of escalating the situation. The issue was then moved to the police station.
In her written complaint, Madhavi alleged that she married Bikshapathi on August 27, 2010, and her parents had given Rs 6 lakh and 10 tolas of gold ornaments as dowry. She claimed that in 2011, she lodged a complaint at Godavarikhani police station after enduring his harassment for additional dowry.
Madhavi also stated that while she was living with her parents in Miryalaguda, Bikshapathi filed a divorce petition in the local court, making false allegations against her and continuing to harass her. The divorce case is still pending in court.
Out of suspicion, Madhavi visited his house and discovered him living with another woman. She also alleged that Bikshapathi threatened her, claiming he had the support of influential officials and political leaders, and even warned that he could have her killed through hired assassins.
Nalgonda Town-II sub-inspector K. Nagaraju confirmed that an inquiry would be conducted into the allegations, and appropriate action would be taken based on its findings.
Meanwhile, student organisations have demanded the suspension of the DEO, accusing him of bringing disrepute to the education department. Sources further alleged that Bikshapathi had a history of harassing female teachers.
