Dharani portal will be abolished soon, says Bhatti

Hyderabad: Hyderabad became an IT hub and thanks to Prime Minister late Rajiv Gandhi as it was he who laid the foundation for the IT sector in the city, said Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu.

Speaking at the meeting organised to mark Rajiv Gandhi birth anniversary at Somajiguda Circle here on Tuesday, he said the government would take forward the Rajiv Technology Mission.

Referring to the remarks of BRS leaders over the development of IT sector, Bhatti said should not the person who claims he had studied abroad and worked as IT Minister know who had contributed for IT sector development in Hyderabad?

It was Rajiv Gandhi who brought mobile phone technology, encouraged the dairy sector and milk production, gave voting rights to 18-year-olds and created the IT revolution, he pointed out.

Bhatti reiterated that all those encroachments of lands and tanks by some would be cleared by HYDRA as a gift to the people of Telangana. Dharani, a one-stop destination for agricultural land transactions, would be discarded as it was brought in with a vested interest by the previous rulers to solely benefit the rich, he alleged.

Lashing out at the BRS leaders for their irrational talk, Bhatti said there was no comparison with the previous government that took 10 years to waive Rs.1 lakh loan of farmers and the Congress government that waived Rs 2 lakh loan of farmers at one go within 10 days.

Dismissing the remarks of BRS leaders on MoUs entered by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu, Bhatti said companies would come only when MoUs are signed. Revanth Reddy made these agreements for the benefit of people. The Congress government leaders would not sit inside farmhouses and forts and work for selfish interests like previous rulers.

Seeking blessings of people for the Indiramma Rajyam, Bhatti said the Congress government had prepared an action plan under the Young India plan to make Telangana compete with the world. He made it clear that the lands given to the poor under the Indiramma rajyam would be restored to them.
