Dil Raju appointed chairman of Telangana Film Development Corporation
Hyderabad: Producer-distributor Dil Raju has been appointed as the chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation (TFDC) by the Telangana government. The appointment will be for a period of two years, as per orders issued by Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari.
Dil Raju, whose original name is Venkata Ramana Reddy, began his career in the film industry as a distributor in 1990 with the film Pelli Pandiri. He established Sri Venkateshwara Creations as his production banner and produced his first film, Dil, in 2003. The film's success led to him being widely known as Dil Raju.
Currently, Dil Raju is simultaneously producing three films:
Game Changer: A big-budget film directed by Shankar and starring Ram Charan, slated for release on January 10, 2025.
Sankranthiiki Vasthunnam: A film starring Venkatesh.
Thammudu: Another upcoming film.
This appointment marks a significant step in Dil Raju's career, further solidifying his position as a prominent figure in the Telugu film industry. As chairman, he will play a crucial role in fostering a strong relationship between the Telugu film industry and the state government.
