Donate Blood to Save Lives, Urges Collector
Karimnagar: Karimnagar district collector Pamela Satpathy urged people to become lifesavers by donating blood. She inaugurated a blood donation camp organised by the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society Blood Centre as part of National Road Safety Month celebrations at the Karimnagar Bus Station on Wednesday.
Setting an example, the collector donated blood alongside others, highlighting that timely donations can save lives. She encouraged healthy people to participate in such initiatives and commended TGSRTC drivers, conductors, and staff members who came forward to donate blood.
TGSRTC regional manager B. Raju stressed that 99 per cent of road accidents are caused by human errors and ignoring traffic rules. He urged youth to follow traffic rules saying that true heroism lies in adhering to road safety measures.
Executive director Kusro Sha Khan, deputy regional managers K. Satyanarayana and S. Bhupathi Reddy, and depot managers I. Vijaya Madhuri and V. Mallaiah attended the event along with other dignitaries.
