Drunken couple hurls stones at Gopalapuram police station in Secunderabad
Hyderabad: A couple pelted stones at the Gopalapuram police station in Secunderabad on Thursday night resulting in tension in the area for a while. The police, however, maintained tight-lipped over the incident. The couple is now in the custody of the police.
Trouble broke out when the couple, who was creating nuisance in an inebriated condition, were brought to the police station. A few minutes later, the couple started pelting stones on the police station. Even as the police tried to pacify the couple requesting not to hurl stones, the couple did not heed their plea and continued to attack with whatever objects available near the premises.
The local residents, who were near the police station, too urged the couple not to hurl stones but they ignored it. However, the police managed to control the couple and shifted to the Gandhi hospital for medical examination. The windscreen of a police patrolling vehicle was also damaged in the incident.
