Durga Vahini takes out massive rally
Hyderabad: Around 1,500 members of the Durga Vahini, women’s wing of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, took out a rally which culminated in a public meeting at the Ashtalaxmi Temple here. Among the participants were over 100 children who were dressed as `Bharat Mata’.
After garlanding the portraits of Rani Durgavati, Ahilya Bai Holkar, Jhansi Lakshmi Bai, the Durga Vahini members took part in a `Shakti Pradarshan.’ The organisers said that the programme was organised to promote courage, bravery and valour besides to protect family values.
VHP state president Bhojanapally Narasimha Murthy, secretary Laxminarayana and former president Surender Reddy, national spokesperson Shashidhar, Matru Shakti state convener Padma Shri, Durga Vahini state leaders Vani Sakku Bhai, Sindhuja, Madhavi, Umarani, Sirisha, Nikhila, Sankalpa, Bhavani, Meena, Latha Sri, Jyothi and Laxmi took part in the meeting.
