Electrician Electrocuted While Repairing Power Line in Santoshnagar

Hyderabad: B. Prashanth, a 26-year-old electrician, was electrocuted in Santoshnagar while repairing a 11-KV power line. Police said Prashanth, from Khammam, was employed by a contractor at SS Electricals.

Police said that while the repair was taking place at two different spots within Santoshnagar, the power supply had been temporarily halted.

After one of the lines was repaired, the power was allegedly restored without officials realising that Prashanth was still at work on the second spot.

When Prashanth fell to the ground, residents quickly administered CPR and called the police and an ambulance. By the time Prashanth reached the hospital, he was dead.

Jawaharnagar police registered a case of death under suspicious circumstances and began investigations.
