Elusive accused arrested in cheating case
Hyderabad: A businessman, Vikas Khindar, who was evading police arrest for the last six years, was arrested by Telangana Crime Investigation Department (CID) on Saturday in connection with a cheating case booked against him in 2018.
Vikas Khindar (41), a businessman and resident of New Rasilanagar in Basti Dhanish Mandi, Jalandhar in Punjab and others allegedly collected money from complainants in the guise of providing employment to go Canada with a job visa and cheated tune of Rs.48 lakh in two cases cases.
The cases were transferred to CID, Nizamabad for further investigation. Vikas Khindar, who is an accused three in the case, was involved in two cases and was absconding since the commission of offence. The first Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate Court at Nizamabad issued Non-Bailable Warrants (NBWs) against the accused.
A CID team nabbed Vikas Khindar on May 27, 2024 at 10.30 AM at Jalandhar and produced before the local court in Jalandhar. The team then obtained a transit warrant against him from Jaladhar court and brought him to the city. The CID produced him before the first Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate Court at Nizamabad after which the court remanded him to judicial custody.
