Even KCR will get Rythu Bharosa: Ponguleti

Warangal: Minister for information, public relations, and revenue, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, said that the Congress government is prepared to extend the benefits of the Rythu Bharosa scheme even to BRS chief and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. He emphasised that the scheme’s guidelines were developed after consultations with farmers, land experts, and intellectuals statewide. Under the scheme, eligible farmers will receive ₹12,000 per acre annually starting January 26, as part of the Republic Day celebrations.

He highlighted that, despite economic challenges, Telangana’s Congress government is the only administration in the country to provide ₹12,000 in financial assistance to landless agricultural labourers.

The minister, along with other officials, chaired a review meeting on developmental works at the Collectorate conference hall in Hanamkonda on Monday. Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Konda Surekha, MP Kadiam Kavya, and MLAs participated in the discussions.

In a veiled criticism of BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, Srinivas Reddy accused Opposition leaders of indulging in "rowdy behaviour" and alleged involvement in illegal transfers of public funds abroad. He assured that the government’s initiatives would counter such actions effectively.

The minister also reiterated Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s commitment to Warangal’s development, noting significant fund allocations for various projects.
