Ex-CM Lalu appreciates Revanth Reddy for participating in Sadar Sammelan
Hyderabad: Former Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal national president Lalu Prasad on Sunday appreciated Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for participating in “Sadar Sammelan” organized at NTR stadium here a few days ago.
For the first time, as a Chief Minister of Telangana, Revanth Reddy joined the vibrant celebration of cultural heritage, he said. Former MP M Anjan Kumar Yadav and his son M Anil Kumar Yadav, who is also an MP, organized the celebrations.
“The event, which has been celebrated annually in Hyderabad since 1946, was made especially memorable this year, with your historic participation as the first time as a Chief Minister of Telangana,” Lalu said, in a letter addressed to Revanth Reddy.
“Your (Chief Minister’s) gracious announcement that the Sadar Sammelan will henceforth be celebrated officially by Telangana government along with your commitment to allocate adequate funds reflects your dedication to honoring and promoting Telangana's diverse cultural traditions,” Lalu said.
He said that this gesture was deeply appreciated by the Yadav community and the people of Telangana as a whole. “Once again, thank you for your leadership and support, which add great value to our community and to the cultural fabric of Telangana. May this festival season bring you and your family prosperity and joy,” he added.
According to Lalu, the Sadar Sammelan, rooted in ancient traditions, resonates with the legendary tale from Dwapar Yug, when Lord Shri Krishna lifted a mountain on his finger to protect his devotees. This festival not only commemorates this timeless story but also celebrates the rich cultural and religious heritage of the Yadav community.
