Fake GO Racket Busted in Gandipet Land Scam; Former YSRC MLA and Son Named as Accused
Gandipet tahsildar Srinivas Reddy lodged a complaint on May 23

Hyderabad: Narsingi police said they busted an alleged fake government order (GO) and illegal land deal racket involving government land in Gandipet of Rangareddy district and arrested three persons in connection with the case. Police produced the arrested accused, Nimmala Rajesh Goud, Nimmala Venugopal and Nimmala Sai Kiran, before a court.
The other accused, including Bolla Ramesh, former YSRC MLA Bolla Brahma Naidu, Sunil and Radhakrishna, are absconding.
According to Serilingampally DCP Ch. Srinivas, Gandipet tahsildar Srinivas Reddy lodged a complaint on May 23, alleging that fake and fabricated GOs were being circulated through WhatsApp groups and social media platforms. The forged documents falsely claimed that government land in Survey No.18 of Gandipet had been regularised and allotted to private individuals.
Based on the complaint, the Narsingi police registered a case and launched an investigation.
During the probe, police conducted searches at the residences of the accused Nimmala Venugopal, Nimmala Ramaswamy and Nimmala Rajesh Goud in Gandipet after obtaining search warrants from the court. Officials seized bank passbooks, memorandum of understanding (MoU) documents, mobile phones and a laptop during the searches.
Investigation revealed that the family members of late Dasarath —Rajesh Goud, Venugopal, Ramaswamy and Manga — claimed possession over nearly 10 acres of government poramboke land in Survey No. 18 of Gandipet. DCP Srinivas said the family earlier approached the High Court on the matter but their petitions were dismissed in October 2025.
Despite not having legal ownership or rights over the land, the accused conspired with Bolla Ramesh, son of former YSRC MLA Bolla Brahma Naidu, and others to sell the land at `3.5 crore per acre by falsely projecting themselves as lawful owners. As part of the alleged conspiracy, MoUs were executed between the parties for the proposed transaction.
Investigators found that nearly ₹4 crore were received from the second party towards the land deal. Police said the transaction was mediated by Sunil, Radhakrishna and others, who are absconding.
Investigation revealed that fake GOs and forged documents were created to falsely show that the government had regularised and allotted 10 acres of land in favour of the accused.
