Fake job racket busted in Hyderabad, 1 held

Accused was involved in five cases across India and one in Hyderabad: Police

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad cyber crime police nabbed a person identified as Dharmender Kumar alias Rohan from Uttar Pradesh for cheating innocent people in the name of providing job across the country and in Dubai

During the investigation, it was found that the accused was involved in five cases across India and one case in Hyderabad. Roshan’s fraud came to light when a 49-year-old year person from Amberpet approached the police stating that from July 2024 he searched for a job and found a career website.

After registering for a job, the victim immediately received a call saying that he got an opportunity in a private company in the Hyderabad branch. The fraudster asked the victim to pay money for processing the file internally.

Believing him, the victim paid Rs.15.88 lakh in different accounts provided by the accused. However, the fraudster again started asking for more money. Realizing that the accused was cheating him in the name of providing a job, the victim approached the police, who booked a case and arrested 30-year-old Roshan.

Three laptops and mobile phones were recovered from the possession of the arrested person, according to police.
