Family Survey Will Ease Delivery of Welfare Sops: MLA

Karimnagar: A comprehensive family survey was started to determine the number of people living below the poverty line and to identify those covered under welfare schemes, announced government chief whip and MLA Adluri Laxman Kumar during the survey launch in Dharmapuri, Jagtial district, on Wednesday.

The enumerators will collect complete family details, which will assist beneficiaries in availing welfare schemes. Kumar appealed to the public to cooperate with the officials and provide accurate information.

In-charge commissioner R.V. Karnan, along with district collector B. Satya Prasad, inspected the family survey in Kodimyal mandal. He emphasised the importance of creating awareness among residents about the benefits of the family survey before affixing stickers to house walls.

In Karimnagar, district collector Pamela Satpathy also inspected the family survey. She assured the public that there is no need to worry when sharing complete details with enumerators, as the information will remain confidential and will not be disclosed to others. Satpathy urged residents to have their Aadhaar and ration cards, along with Dharani Pattadar passbooks, ready for the survey.

She further advised that if enumerators encounter any doubts, they should consult supervisors, MPDOs, or municipal commissioners to avoid mistakes. During the listing process, enumerators must affix stickers to the houses they visit and upload the collected family data online after gathering the necessary information.
