Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday firmed up the schedule for the 'Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu' from December 1 to 9 to mark the first anniversary of the Congress government. The festivities will showcase the government’s achievements and outline future plans. The Chief Minister urged officials to ensure a festive, vibrant and inclusive atmosphere throughout the state for the event.
During a meeting at the Secretariat on Saturday, Revanth Reddy, along with ministers Sridhar Babu and Ponnam Prabhakar, Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari, and DGP Jitender, discussed detailed arrangements for the celebrations.
It was decided to hold a farmers' conclave in Mahbubnagar on November 30, preceded by farmers awareness programmes on November 28 and 29. Exhibition stalls showcasing initiatives like loan waivers, farmer insurance, and crop bonuses will be featured.
A public meeting with students and youth scheduled in Peddapalli on December 4. Appointment letters for 9,000 selected candidates, including those from Group 4 recruitment, will be distributed.
From December 1, department-wise events will highlight the progress made in the first year. Ministers were asked to engage with the public daily via media to present progress reports and future plans in their respective departmments. Foundation stone-laying ceremonies and inaugurations of development projects are planned across the state.
It was decided to hold festive programmes from December 7 to 9 in the city to showcase Telangana’s rich culture through exhibitions, musical performances, air shows, drone displays, and traditional art forms at Secretariat, Tank Bund, and Necklace Road in Hyderabad.
Celebrations will extend to schools, hostels, and colleges, fostering a festive atmosphere from the grassroots level to the state capital.
The Chief Minister will unveil the Telangana Talli statue at the Secretariat on December 9 in a ceremony in the presence of one lakh people, which will be also attended by intellectuals, Telangana activists, and notable achievers. A special contingent of 1,000 Mahila Shakti representatives (women SHG members) from each constituency will be mobilised to witness the event.
Revanth Reddy emphasised the importance of public participation, suggesting involvement from all sections of society. He instructed police officials to manage traffic diversions in Hyderabad, ensuring smooth festivities without disrupting daily life.
