Nalgonda: A fire broke out in Sreepathi Labs Private Limited at Gundrampally of Chityal mandal in the district in the early hours of Friday. No casualty has been reported in the accident.
Blasting of a reactor is believed to be the reason for the fire. Thick smoke emitting from the industry spread to surrounding areas. People of nearby villages were in panic.
As the thick smoke reached National Highway No. 65, vehicles also faced inconvenience slowing down their movement.
Fire fighting vehicles from Chityal and Choutuppal rushed to the industry and made efforts to bring the fire under control.
Chityal police reached the site and assisted the fire fighting personnel in controlling the fire.
