Hyderabad: Fire broke out in the kitchen of Minerva Hotel in Himayatnagar at around 7.30 pm on Sunday. No casualties were reported.
According to the Narayanguda police, which was alerted to the incident by the hotel staff, the fire erupted from the chimney. Fire department personnel reached the spot and doused the flames, police said.
“Only the chimney of the kitchen was damaged. All the rest is under control,” said Narayanguda inspector U. Chandra Shekar.
A case is yet to be registered as no written complaint from the hotel management was received by the police.
