Focus on Development and Welfare schemes, Telangana CM asks Ministers and Officials

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday asked all his Cabinet and senior officials to focus on development activities and implementation of welfare schemes for the benefit of people.

Revanth Reddy, who returned to the city from Delhi on Sunday night, also asked ministers to conduct reviews of their respective departments in the districts along with collectors and senior officers with the focus on addressing people's issues as well as on implementation of government's schemes.
Following the Chief Minister's suggestions, many ministers initiated review meetings and surprise visits to different places.
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka held a review meeting with the officials of municipal, electricity and irrigation departments in Madhira on Sunday and decided to implement the promised development works and welfare schemes.
Bhatti said that the previous government which came to power in the name of water, funds and jobs had neglected the works of several projects in Khammam district. Not a single step has been taken in the matter of irrigation projects, he said.He said he would review on June 12, the Sitarama irrigation project, Sagar canal connection to Wyra reservoir and Nagarjunasagar irrigation water supply issues.
It is learnt that ministers Tummala Nageswara Rao and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy will jointly visit the irrigation projects and their progress on June 13 to see for themselves the progress of works, Sources said that the work being done from Dummugudem to Julurupadu within the scope of Sitarama project, linking the left canal of Nagarjunasagar from Enukuru to Wyra reservoir will be reviewed with officials on the field level.
Tourism minister Jupalli Krishna Rao has started conducting review meetings with tourism department officials. He has direction the renovation of tourism places in order to attract the tourists which would generate revenue for the state government. Krishna Rao visited has Nagarjunasagar and the Harita Taramati Baradari resort.
