Former HMDA Officer BLN Reddy Questioned by ED in Formula E Case

Hyderabad: Former HMDA officer B.L.N Reddy, who appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday, reportedly told the investigation agency that he transferred Rs 54 crore to the UK-based Formula E Racing Operations Limited following the directions of the senior officials at HMDA.

In a nine-hour-long questioning, ED officials have tried to get complete information from Reddy, who played a key role in making monetary transactions on behalf of the government and correspondence with the Formula E Racing officials.

The retired HMDA officer, however, reportedly-maintained silence for several questions.

The ED officials reportedly questioned him about any official orders issued by the senior officials of HMDA, or the state government for transferring funds from HMDA accounts to others. The officials reportedly concentrated on financial matters arising out of Reddy transferring HMDA’s money to Formula E Racing..

The officials recorded the statements of Reddy and informed him that they may call him for questioning again based on evidence collected in connection with the Formula E racing irregularities case.
