Former MLC Satyanarayana Died with Illness

Sangareddy: Former MLC, journalist R.Satyanarayana, 59, died on Sunday due to prolonged illness. Satyanarayana served as journalist in leading Telugu dailies for three decades. He quit journalism and actively participated in the separate Telangana movement.

He was elected as MLC from Karimnagar-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Medak graduates constituency in 2007. He sacrificed his MLC post for separate Telangana movement in 2008. Being a close confidant of former Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao, R.Satyanarayana was appointed as Telangana state public service commission.

He worked as BRS party undivided Medak district president. Joining Congress party, Satyanarayana aspired MLC ticket for upcoming elections. Due to illness he died at his residence in Sangareddy on Sunday. Former CM K.Chandrashekar Rao said that Telangana state lost a true Telangana activist in Satyanarayana. He conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members.

Former minister T.Harish Rao visited the former MLC residence on Sunday and paid last respects. Funeral of Satyanarayana was performed on Sunday. Ministers Damodar Rajanarsimha, Ponnam Prabhakar and other leaders also sent condolences messages to the family members of former MLC.
