Hyderabad: Asifnagar police on Saturday apprehended four men for their alleged involvement in a murder case on June 19 at Feelkhana.
Police arrested Mohammed Omer Bin Hussain, Mohd Khaja, Shaik Feroz Pasha and Syed Ghouse for the murder of Shaik Ali, also known as Aleem who was a former rowdy sheeter.
According to police, Aleem and all the accused were friends. Aleem used to snatch mobile phones and money from innocent people in Habeeb Nagar. Along with that, he used to take money from the accused when he did not have money to drink alcohol.
Five days ago, Aleem had a fight with the accused at Public Gardens. He attacked Hussain and threatened to kill him. Hussain held a grudge against Aleem and spoke to Khaja, Pasha and Ghouse to eliminate Aleem.
All the other accused, who also had a grudge against Aleem for a while, agreed to kill him. At 10pm on June 19, all the accused went to Mallepally where Aleem drinks alcohol and killed him.
Police said Hussain had nine previous cases booked against him in different police stations while Ghouse has three and Pasha two cases booked against them. Police seized the knife used for killing Aleem and one passenger auto from Pasha. All four are sent to judicial remand.
5 arrested for ferrying drugs to Hyd
HYDERABAD: TGNAB sleuths on Saturday apprehended five persons in possession of MDMA at Doctor’s Colony in Durgam Cheruvu. The police seized 12.72 gm of MDMA and a cell phone from their possession, all amounting to Rs1,53,000.
The accused were identified as Gosangi Venkata Sai Charan, Mallik Lokesh, A Sandeep Reddy, S Subramanyam from Andhra Pradesh and B Rahul from Rangareddy district.
Based in Bangalore, the prime accused, Venkata Sai Charan, would pack small quantities of MDMA in small paper boxes and would keep the same in an envelope and hand it over to drivers of private travel buses plying from Bangalore by giving them Rs 100.
The drug receivers in Hyderabad collect the parcels from drivers directly. As of now Morning Star Travels, Rajeshwari Travels, GVR Travels and Cherry Travels have been identified.
Based on a tip-off when Venkata Sai Charan had come to Hyderabad to supply MDMA drug to his regular customers, he was apprehended by the Madhapur police and TGNAB. Fifty customers from Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka have been identified.
