Hyderabad:Four persons were injured after a lift at a restaurant near DLF crashed on Thursday night, Gachibowli inspector Mohd Habubullah Khan said. One of the four persons injured suffered a leg fracture, while the other three had minor injuries.
The incident reportedly occurred when the cables broke, sending the lift plunging to the ground. The cable breakage needed to be confirmed.
Others present at the restaurant heard a loud sound and on investigating found that the lift had crashed. They called the police and an ambulance in which the injured were shifted to a hospital.
Police reached the spot and discovered that the lift lacked maintenance and registered a case.
