Free liquor party becomes talk of Warangal town
WARANGAL: A political activist Gopal Naveen Raj distributing free liquor to local people during his birthday celebrations on New Year’s Day grabbed public attention in Warangal district.
Naveen Raj, a prominent follower of minister Konda Surekha, is often referred to as a potential “shadow minister”. There were long queues for the liquor sparking debates about the unconventional celebration.
Meanwhile, another controversial incident unfolded at the Bhadrakali Temple, where Naveen Raj was welcomed with a massive garland hoisted by a crane. The grand gesture disrupted traffic, causing chaos.
Despite not holding any official position, Naveen Raj received special treatment during his temple visit. The birthday celebrations, particularly the liquor distribution, have since become a hot topic of debate.
