Hyderabad: A furniture godown near Subhanpura, Nampally, was gutted by a major fire on Thursday. There were no casualties.
According to Habeeb Nagar police, the fire was reported from the godown adjacent to another where welding work was happening around 4 pm. Initial investigations suggest that a welding spark might have caused the accident. “We are yet to ascertain if the cause was of fire accident was welding. No one was hurt, but there was property loss,” said Habeeb Nagar sub-inspector, Dilawar Ali.
Police confirmed that fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the fire.
