Gandhi Medical College Hosts 3-Day Basic Medical Education Course
A three-day basic course in medical education (BCME) will conclude on Friday at the Regional Centre, Gandhi Medical College.

Hyderabad:A three-day basic course in medical education (BCME) will conclude on Friday at the Regional Centre, Gandhi Medical College. Representatives from 25 medical colleges are taking part in the programme which is a part of the National Medical Commission’s (NMC) competency-based medical education (CBME) initiative to improve medical education standards.
The session was inaugurated by Principal Dr K. Indira, alongside Gandhi Hospital superintendent Dr Ch. N. Rajkumari.
Attendees include principals, superintendents, and MEU/CC members from various institutions, participating in discussions and training sessions designed to improve teaching methodologies, curriculum development, and student assessment strategies in line with the CBME framework.
E-Baja 2024 Kicks Off in Hyderabad with 82 Teams and 2,500 Participants
Hyderabad:E-Baja, one of the biggest inter-collegiate competitions for engineering students, began here on Thursday. The competition features 82 teams and over 2,500 participants, who are designing, building and racing electric all-terrain vehicles (ATVs).
Organised by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) in collaboration with Sri Vishnu Educational Society and SAE Baja INDIA, the event will take place at B V Raju Institute of Technology (BVRIT), Narsapur, Medak, till February 23. Global automotive companies are attending, looking to recruit top talent.
An HR meet on February 24 and 25 will offer job opportunities to outstanding participants.
So far, students from IITs, NITs, and top engineering colleges put their skills to the test in a series of challenges, starting with technical inspections, brake tests, sales finals, and cost evaluations on Thursday. On the second day participants will face rainstorm tests, design finals, innovation rounds, and dynamic events, while February 22 will focus on sustainability and further validation of vehicle designs. The final day will push the ATVs and their creators to the limit with endurance testing on rugged tracks. Each vehicle will undergo rigorous assessments for brake efficiency, acceleration, suspension, and manoeuvrability, following SAE standards.
