Gandra slams Cong, says he or BRS had no role in Rajalinga Murthy killing
Former BRS Leader Rejects Congress Allegations, Calls for Thorough Investigation

Hyderabad: Former BRS Bhupalpally MLA Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy on Thursday rejected accusations from Congress leaders that he was involved in the killing of activist Nagavelli Rajalinga Murthy in Bhupalpally on Wednesday.
Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan, Reddy said just because Murthy had filed a case against former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, and former minister T. Harish Rao over the Medigadda barrage damages, the Congress, including minister Komatireddy Venkatreddy, was accusing him and the BRS of involvement in the murder.
“Even the complaint lodged by Murthy’s wife with the police was influenced by Congress leaders. We want a thorough probe into the murder and welcome one even by the CBI. As far as the case on Medigadda is concerned, it is being faced legally in courts,” the former MLA said.
“Even those arrested after the murder were named in a complaint by Murthy to the police. The incident has nothing to do with me or BRS and is related to a land dispute Murthy was involved in. Murthy also has a rowdy sheet against him and is accused in several cases,” the former BRS MLA said.
