Hyderabad:Three members of a family, including a woman and her child, were beaten up in Malkajgiri after they objected to a gang making noise in the early hours of Tuesday.
A trespassing and criminal intimidation case was registered.
According to the complaint, registered by one of the victims A.K. Murugesh, 50, around 1 am he found a gang making a lot of noise in their residential area in Vasanthapuri Colony.
The accused gang was identified as Manoj Yadav and four of his friends. They verbally abused Murugesh and thrashed him after being asked to make less noise.
Manoj called up more of his friends and ten others turned up to thrash Murugesh, according to the complaint. When Murugesh’s son Sai came to rescue him, the gang reportedly also beat him up.
His wife, who asked the neighbors for help, was kicked in the stomach.
Murugesh filed a complaint with Malkajgiri Police and investigation is on. Meanwhile, a source said the victim, Murugesh, was a rowdy-sheeter and the accused gave him a loan of `25 lakhs which led to the incident.
