Hyderabad: G. Gayatri Prasad has assumed office as director (finance) of Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), effective December 18.
His extensive financial experience and long-standing association with BDL are expected to shape the organisation’s financial management in the coming years.
A commerce graduate from Nagarjuna University and a member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, Prasad joined BDL as a management trainee in 1997. Over a career spanning 27 years, he worked in key roles, including general manager (finance) and chief financial officer, gaining expertise in taxation, budgeting and investment analysis.
Known for his ability to evaluate financial proposals and manage resources effectively, Prasad is stepping into the role at a critical time for the defence enterprise. Colleagues acknowledged his contributions to strengthening BDL’s financial systems over the years, describing him as a steady hand in times of growth and transition.
BDL, a player in India’s defence manufacturing, said it is currently focusing on expanding its operations and financial strategy.
