Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has lodged a complaint in Filmnagar Police station against Gokul Narne and M/s Market Space Systems Pvt Ltd alleging encroachment of a park in Filmnagar, Jubilee Hills.
Gokul Narne is the son of Col Ranga Rao Narne (Rtd). Rao is the Chairman and Managing Director of Narne Estates.
The GHMC mentioned that the owner of Plot No. 30, Gokul Narne has damaged a park compound wall which is a pubic property, trespassed into the public park, encroached on the lung space and filled it with excavated soil, damaging the ecology of the park besides destroying greenery by resorting to felling of trees inside the park located in Road No.11, Film Nagar Cooperative Housing Society, adjacent to Lotus Pond.
AV Ranganath, who took charge as the commissioner of GHMC’s Enforcement Vigilance & Disaster Management (EV&DM) on Wednesday, inspected the place on Thursday.
Congress MLA from Munugode, Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy who stays in the same area was conspicuous by his presence.
He was present when the park near his house was being inspected by EV&DM officials. However, the EV&DM officials maintained that as AV Ranganath also served as Nalgonda Superintendent of Police, the MLA saw him and formally met him.
