GHMC Orders Action on Trade Licence Fee Compliance by Dec 31
Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Saturday announced that out of 3,17,033 non-residential properties listed in its property tax database, only 1,09,702 have paid their trade licence fees as of December 19. This leaves over 2.49 lakh non-compliant property owners.
GHMC commissioner K. Ilambarithi instructed officials to take swift action to ensure all non-residential property owners obtain their trade licences and pay the fees by December 31, 2024.
A circle-wise breakdown of data has been released which shows the number of properties yet to comply. Gosha Mahal leads with 34,137 such properties, followed by Serilingampally with 17,055 and Khairatabad with 14,745. Secunderabad has the lowest count at 2,773.
Officials, including deputy commissioners, assistant medical officers of health (AMOH), and licence officers, have been tasked with conducting field visits to identify and ensure compliance from these property owners. The commissioner has directed them to work efficiently to meet the year-end deadline.
This initiative is part of the GHMC's effort to streamline processes and ensure that all businesses operating under non-residential premises adhere to the regulations.
