Hyderabad: A GHMC woman sweeper, 46, died on the spot and three others were critically injured after an auto in which they were travelling hit another vehicle at a place under Shah-Ali-Banda police limits on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as P. Jamuna, a resident of RN Colony of Falaknuma. She worked as a sweeper at GHMC and performed her duties at early hours.
According to police, Jamuna and others were travelling by an auto to attend morning duties. As the auto crossed a hotel in Shah-Ali Banda, a speeding vehicle coming from opposite direction, hit the auto. Jamuna fell on the road from the moving auto and died on the spot due to serious head injuries.
In the mishap, three others suffered injuries. The police visited the place and shifted the victims to a nearby hospital where doctors declared Jamuna brought dead.
