Global Universities Eye Telangana for Education Collaborations
Hyderabad: Several international universities expressed interest in collaborating through Tconsult and participating in exchange programs to foster global education in Telangana.
The Tconsult Global Investor Pool (TGIP) connects local businesses and enterprises with international opportunities. It also works on global educational collaborations and partnerships, and connects international universities with local institutions in Telangana, facilitating exchange programmes, skill development projects, and advanced learning opportunities, particularly supporting the Young India Skill University for which the foundation stone was laid on Thursday.
In this regard, the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), Durban University of Technology (DUT), the University of Silicon Andhra (USA), the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), Sultan Qaboos University, the University of Sharjah, and the Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST) wrote letters to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and IT minister Sridhar Babu.
Through the exchange programmes, the universities will invite Telangana students to their campuses and send their students to Telangana to learn about the technological ecosystem.
Dr Jey Veeraswamy, the University of Texas director, extended his support to the proposed Telangana Skill University and invited the CM to visit their university during the upcoming visit to the USA.
Sundeep Kumar Makthala, chairman of the World Telugu IT Council, said that these collaborations have huge potential to improve the skills of Telangana students and provide them with invaluable global exposure.
