Hyderabad: Governor Jishnu Dev Varma felicitated five students during his visit to the Mahila Dakshata Samiti (MDS) educational institutions. The recipients were toppers of their respective exams: K. Sai Satya Veni (second rank, Intermediate 2024) S. Shruthi (top ranker in degree final, Aleymma Sara (topper in BSc Nursing), and B. Niharika and G. Madhavi, who participated in the national level Yoga championship.
The Governor commended MDS for its commitment to empowering women, particularly from underprivileged backgrounds. He spoke about the institution’s role in providing education and fostering self-confidence among orphans, daughters of single parents and children of daily wage earners.
Dr Saroj Bajaj, president of MDS, described the organisation’s mission as empowering women through education and skill development. “For over four decades, we have strived to create an inclusive environment where every girl has the opportunity to excel and contribute meaningfully to society,” she said.
