Graduate MLC aspirants push grads to enroll as voters
Nizamabad: Graduate MLC aspirants have been motivating graduates to enroll as voters in the Karimnagar-Adilabad-Nizamabad-
The tenure of the current graduate MLC, T. Jeevan Reddy of the Congress, will end on March 29, 2025. In light of this, the election body has initiated voter enrollment.
In the undivided Nizamabad district, the list of graduate voters expanded from 24,713 in 2019 to 29,556. The Election Commission allowed those who completed their graduation by November 2021 to register as voters for the MLC polls.
Graduate MLC aspirants interacted with graduates at various venues, appealing for their support. An educational institute owner from Karimnagar district approached his former students seeking support in the MLC election as he aspired for a party ticket.
Surprisingly, independent MLC candidates have set up flexi boards, urging people to enroll as voters in the Karimnagar-Adilabad-Nizamabad-Medak graduates constituency.
More than a dozen aspirants are touring the undivided Karimnagar-Adilabad-Nizamabad-Medak districts, seeking support from different sections of the population. They have also sought blessings from party MLAs, MPs, and party high command to contest in the elections.
The number of aspirants is high among the ruling Congress and the BJP in the Karimnagar-Adilabad-Nizamabad-Medak graduates constituency. Meanwhile, 3,573 teachers have enrolled as voters for the teachers' MLC elections in Nizamabad district.
