Grocery Shop Owner Held for Selling Ganja Chocolates
Hyderabad: In a joint operation by the SOT Balanagar team and Jagadgirigutta police, a grocery shop owner was held in Jagadgirigutta Ring Basti for his involvement in the illegal trade of ganja-laced chocolates. The authorities seized a total of 2,400 ganja chocolates, weighing approximately 13 kg, packed in 61 separate packets.
The grocery shop owner identified as Sunil Kumar Jha, who migrated from Bihar over 20 years ago and had opened a grocery shop in the area a few years ago. Investigations reveal that Jha had been bringing these ganja chocolates from Bihar and selling them to migrant workers at Rs. 40 per chocolate. The total value of the seized drugs amounts to Rs. 97,600.
