Armed 5-Member Gang Fires, Loots Jewellery Showroom In Karimnagar
Robbers posing as customers fled with jewellery in 5-minute heist

CCTV captures the chilling moment armed robbers stormed the PMJ jewellery showroom in broad daylight this Sunday.
KARIMNAGAR: Five unidentified men carried out an armed robbery at the PMJ Jewellery showroom in Karimnagar, opening fire on staff who resisted and injuring four employees, police said on Sunday. The incident took place at 11 am when the staff were busy arranging jewellery in the display cases
The gang, who arrived on two motorcycles, posed as customers seeking to buy a gold chain before brandishing firearms and threatening the staff. When employees tried to resist, the assailants opened fire, injuring four staff members. They were shifted to a private hospital, where one remains in critical condition, police said.
The accused packed a large quantity of gold ornaments into a bag and fled within five minutes, indicating a pre-planned operation timed when the showroom had fewer customers.
Police teams reached the spot after being alerted and recovered bullet shells and a gun magazine from the scene. CCTV footage is being analysed to identify the accused, and a manhunt has been launched across the district.
The robbery occurred in a high-security zone behind the District Judge’s quarters and near the residence of Union minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar. Police said the minister had visited the same location about 30 minutes before the incident for a public event. Officers said the gang appeared to have chosen the timing to avoid public movement despite security arrangements in place earlier for the minister’s visit.
