Hyderabad:BRS senior leader T. Harish Rao said that legislator Arekapudi Gandhi attending the CLP meeting proved that the Congress had lied on the defectors joining it. He tagged legislative affairs minister D. Sridhar Babu in his post on X denying the Congress had anything to do with them.
He flayed minister Ponnam Prabhakar’s comments on the Yellampalli project and said it was the BRS that had completed the entire process for its construction, spending Rs 2,052 crore. The project, he said, was neglected by the Congress when it was in power in undivided Andhra Pradesh.
“I thank the minister for accepting that Yellampalli, Nandi Medaram, Mid Manair, Anantagiri, Ranganayaka Sagar, Mallanna Sagar and Kondapochamma Sagar reservoirs are part of Pranahita Chevella project. We had accepted that alignment of the project was not changed from Yellampalli to Kondapochamma Sagar. The capacity of the reservoirs was increased based on CWC recommendations from 14 to 141 tmc ft. Water lifted from Yellampalli is also part of Kaleshwaram project,” he said.
