Harish Urges Revanth to Keep Promise, Not Collect Fee for LRS

Hyderabad: Senior BRS leader T. Harish Rao on Monday urged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to honour his election promise to implement Land Regularisation Scheme without collecting any fee from the applicants. He called on LRS applicants not to pay any fee and insist that the Chief Minister keep his election promise and ensure justice to the 25.44 lakh applicants.

In an open letter to the Chief Minister, Harish Rao called on Revanth Reddy to honour his election campaign promise of free LRS. He said “farmers are already suffering from unfulfilled promises on loan waivers and the delays in Rythu Bandhu payments. People are also struggling with rising medical costs due to fever outbreaks. Ans your government is pressuring officials, from Collectors to Panchayat secretaries, to collect LRS fees.”

Harish Rao said “officials are threatening to cancel layouts if fees aren’t paid. You once called LRS an exploitation, and now you must explain why you are forcing it upon the people.”
