HC grants KTR interim relief in E-car race case
KTR not to be arrested till Dec 30: Telangana HC breather in Formula-E race case

Hyderabad: The BRS on Friday claimed a moral victory in its battle against the state government over the ACB case against party working president K.T. Rama Rao, claiming that the High Court’s instructions not to arrest him vindicated its stand that the government never had any case.
Addressing a press conference, senior BRS leader T. Harish Rao said the High Court orders had exposed how the government was trying to foist a case on Rama Rao. And, in the Assembly, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy spewed lies, Harish Rao claimed.
“We asked for a discussion in the Assembly on Formula E race issue, and also urged the Speaker on this. We did not question the filing of a case but only asked for a discussion. Why did the government not agree to one,” Harish Rao said.
“Only after we were sent out of the House did the CM talk about it. Why did he not do so when we were in the House? This clearly shows the government has nothing to go on in the case. There was no corruption, no wrongdoing, and hence no case,” Harish Rao said.
The BRS leader said the Chief Minister was trying to spread lies that it would have cost Rs 600 crore when the actual cost was around Rs 47 crore that was yet to be paid. “Because of the Chief Minister’s decision to cancel the race, the state has lost. When the race was held here in 2023, the economic benefits that Hyderabad and Telangana received was around Rs 700 crore,” he claimed.
