HC Seeks Full Report of Cops’ Attack on Advocate
Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Monday called for a report on the Borabanda police allegedly attacking the house of advocate P. Santosh and abusing his wife with filthy language before taking him away even before he could change his clothes.
The police made him sit in the police station in a lungi and vest. A video of the incident went viral on social media.
On Monday, the Advocates Bar Association made a mention before the division bench, comprising Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice J. Sreenivas Rao, and sought stringent action against the police officers and staff, who were involved in the incident.
Reacting to it, the Bench directed the Registrar General of the High Court to inquire and submit a report over the incident. The report was submitted in the evening and will be perused by the division bench.
