Health min. warns staff of action if they fail in duties
Warangal: Health minister Damodara Rajanarasimha announced on Saturday that the Congress government is undertaking special measures at the grassroots level to ensure education, health, and sanitation for all residents, aiming to transform the state into a ‘Healthy Telangana’ and ‘Educated Telangana.’ The minister made these statements while inaugurating a common diet plan at the Social Welfare Hostel in Maripeda mandal of Mahbubabad district.
He warned that if any health officials showed negligence in providing services to patients, stringent actions will be taken against them.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajanarasimha emphasised that the Congress government has taken unprecedented steps in the history of welfare hostels by increasing diet charges by 40 per cent and cosmetic charges by 200 per cent. These adjustments are part of a revolutionary approach to enhance the quality of services provided to students and residents in welfare hostels.
"In addition to financial adjustments, the state government has established the State Education Commission under the leadership of Akunuri Murali and allocated ₹667.25 crore for providing basic facilities in all government schools across the state," Rajanarasimha stated. He highlighted that this funding aims to improve infrastructure, educational resources, and the overall learning environment for students.
Celebrating the one-year anniversary of the state education commission’s formation, the minister noted that the government has successfully implemented six guarantees and development schemes, earning widespread appreciation from the public. He reiterated the government's commitment to fulfilling the dreams of poor families by constructing Indiramma houses and distributing them to eligible beneficiaries, thereby facilitating home ownership for the underprivileged.
Later in the day, the ministers inaugurated three 108 ambulance service vehicles designated for Danthalapally, Sirole, and Narasimhulapet mandals at the premises of the Primary Health Centre in Maripeda. This initiative significantly enhances emergency medical services in these regions.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Government Chief Whip Jatoth Ramchandru Naik, district collector Adwaith Kumar Singh, superintendent of police Sudheer Ramnath Kekan, additional collector K. Veera Brahmachary, mandal special officer Dr Kiran Kumar, and other dignitaries.
