Health Minister Conducts Surprise Inspections at Hyderabad Hospitals
Hyderabad:Health minister C, Damodar Rajnarasimha conducted a surprise inspection at Gandhi Hospital and King Koti District Hospital on Tuesday morning.
"I was born in Gandhi Hospital. I am a Dalit child. The patients who come to government hospitals like Gandhi and Osmania are like my own brothers and sisters. It is my responsibility to ensure that they are properly cared for, not as a ruler, but as one of them,” the minister said, addressing the media.
“Opposition leaders speak like feudal lords who go to corporate hospitals. When Dalits, tribals, and the poor from marginalised communities face difficulties, they come to government hospitals,” he added.

“By September 14, we will send the details requested by the Centre regarding the safety of medical students," he said, mentioning that a preliminary meeting on ensuring safety in hospitals has already been conducted.
