Health Minster assures financial aid to Chenchu woman

Hyderabad: State health minister of health, medicine and family welfare C. Damodar Rajanarasimha on Monday announced that the government will bear the necessary medical expenses of a Chenchu woman, who was brought to Nims Hyderabad for treatment after she suffered brutal injuries.

A victim of bonded labour from Nagarkurnool district, she was admitted to Nims on Sunday after she started having seizures. The woman was severely injured as her employers and family members rubbed chili paste all over her body and tortured her. She had been undergoing treatment at the district government hospital in Nagarkurnool.

Meanwhile, the Telangana Rajiv Aarogyasri Contract and Outsourcing Employees Association met State health minister of health, medicine and family welfare C. Damodar Rajanarasimha, at his camp office on Monday and appealed for an increase in salaries for Aarogyasri staff and strengthen the cadre of the Aarogya Mitra data processing officer.
