High command will take final decision on cabinet expansion: Bhatti
Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Thursday said the high command in New Delhi would take a final decision on expansion of the State cabinet in Telangana.
His comments assumed significance following rumours that the expansion of cabinet would be taken up in the State soon. One MLA from Hyderabad was expected to be inducted into cabinet in view of the municipal elections in 2026.
During interaction with media persons in New Delhi, he said 50 per cent of the people in the State were satisfied with the Congress government. “I don’t think that 100 per cent of the people would be satisfied with the people’s government and in a democracy there would be some negativity,” he said.
Referring to the recent installation of Telangana Thalli statue at the Secretariat, he said there was no Telangana Thalli statue officially earlier. With regard to Hydraa, Bhatti further stated that the Hydraa would not have any differentiation of rich and poor.
Following rumours of cabinet expansion in the State, senior leaders made a beeline to New Delhi to lobby for the Minister’s post. A leader from Nampally was also seriously lobbying for the Minister’s post in minorities quota.
