Warangal: Police along with a task force team on Tuesday busted a high tech sex racket operated through mobile phones from Shivasai colony in Gopalapuram of Hanamkonda district.
Disclosing the facts to the media, ACP A. Madhusudhan said the accused woman who was operating the racket was identified as Thimmapuram Lalitha (40), a native of Shodashapalli village of Velair mandal.
By taking a house on rent in Shivasai colony, Lalitha was running a sex racket by bringing girls from other states for one year. She used to contact persons by sending the photos of girls through mobile phones.
Receiving credible information about the sex racket, the task force along with Kakatiya University police conducted raids at the house of Lalitha and nabbed a person who was identified as Vanganuri Pavan (26), a native of Mahabubabad district and seized three mobile phones, 14 condom packets and Rs 3,000 from their possession.
The ACP said stringent action will be taken as per law against the persons who indulge in organized crime by forcing women to indulge in the illegal prostitution business.
