HMRL launches 'MeTimeOnMy Metro' to pep up Sankranti festivities

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad metro rail on Wednesday came up with a unique initiative that is endeavoured to enhance the commute experience, especially foe the regulars.

They can now showcase their interests in various fields of art, literature and culture.

This comes courtesy of 'MeTimeOnMy Metro' campaign that was launched at MGBS station on Wednesday. This initiative will provide suitable space at some spacious stations like MGBS for passengers to parade their skills.

This has been timed to Sankranti, a time when the stations get a festive makeover in the form of rendition of traditional songs, dance performances, and festive décor.

The launch event was attended by N.V.S. Reddy, MD of HMRL and K.V.B. Reddy, MD and CEO of L&TMRHL, along with other stakeholders of 'MeTimeOnMy Metro' and cultural artists, who will participate in the cultural events lined up as part of Sankranti fest from January 8 to 10.

HMRL authorities said "The ‘Me Time on My Metro’ campaign is designed to encourage passengers to explore their passions and hobbies during their commutes. Whether you are a singer, dancer, cartoonist, player, avid reader or photographer, the metro provides a unique space to indulge in your interests. This initiative will promote a sense of community and personal well-being.”

N.V.S. Reddy, said, “The 'Me Time on My Metro' campaign is a testament to our dedication to provide a world-class commuting experience for Hyderabads. By integrating cultural festivities with daily travel, we aim to make the metro a symbol of community and connectivity."

K.V.B. Reddy said. “Our campaign embodies our commitment to redefining urban mobility by providing passengers with an enriching travel experience. The Sankranti metro fest allows us to engage with our customers and celebrate the vibrant spirit of Hyderabad."
