HMWS&SB Distributes 6 Lakh Water Packets at Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu

Hyderabad: The HMWS&SB said it had distributed six lakh drinking water packets during the Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu celebrations at the Hussainsagar. The board has set up 45 water camps, which MD Ashok Reddy and executive director Mayank Mittal inspected on Sunday.

Initially, 40 camps were set up but five more were added to cater to increasing demand. “We are ready with three lakh drinking water sachets more for the concluding day. Water is also being supplied in bottles and drums,” said Ashok Reddy.

The board’s quality assurance teams (QATs) were conducting frequent water quality checks to ensure safety. Preventive measures have been taken to avoid water leakages or sewer overflows along the event routes.

Two control rooms have been established at Tank Bund and NTR Marg to address any issues, while nodal officers have been deployed for smooth management.

Senior officials, including Director Operations-1 Amarender Reddy participated in the inspections. HMWS&SB assured that adequate water supply will be maintained throughout the event.
