Hyderabad: The HMWS&SB said it was would enter into agreements with commercial category customers who book tankers in advance to estimate demand during the peak season. In addition, the number of tanker filling points will be increased.
“To have an idea about the requirement, we will get in touch with hostels, hospitals, hotels, malls, etc,” said a HMWS&SB official.
The board decided to deliver water to commercial establishments at night to ensure that households can be supplied during the day.
Board managing director K. Ashok Reddy on Saturday instructed officials to reduce the waiting period for tankers. He inspected the Thattikhana section from where 20 tankers make 150 trips. It is estimated that 400 trips will need to be made by April, and officials were confident of meeting the demand by reducing the tanker filling time.
