HR Conclave 2024 academia-industry synergy at VCIWU

The V-C of the university said the HR Conclave, held at the university, would serve as a platform for exchanging ideas, driving innovation, and aligning academic initiatives with industry needs

Hyderabad: Prof. Surya Dhananjay, Vice Chancellor of Veeranari Chakali Ilamma Women’s University (VCIWU), highlighted the importance of bridging the gap between academia and industry to foster innovation and prepare a future-ready workforce.

He said the HR Conclave, held at the university, would serve as a platform for exchanging ideas, driving innovation, and aligning academic initiatives with industry needs.

The conclave, organised by the Human Capital Development Centre (HCDC) in association with V Cube Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd., brought together over 30 HR professionals from sectors like IT, healthcare, finance, and human resources.

Vijay Kiran Agastya, cost and management account, explored the evolving dynamics of human resource management and emphasised how academia-industry partnerships are essential for bridging skill gaps.

Distinguished speakers such as Prof. Saraswathamma, Dr Lokapavani, and Nagarajesh provided valuable insights on academic reforms tailored to meet industry demands. Discussions ranged from fostering innovation to preparing students for the global job market.

The event concluded on a promising note, with industry leaders committing to offer placements, internships, and training workshops for VCIWU students.
