Hyderabad: Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy has been granted conditional bail following his arrest. The arrest came after a heated argument during a review meeting held at the Karimnagar Collectorate on Sunday, where Kaushik Reddy and Jagityala MLA Sanjay clashed, escalating the meeting into a tense situation.
Based on complaints received, three cases were registered against Kaushik Reddy at the Karimnagar First Town Police Station. On Monday evening, Karimnagar police arrested him in Hyderabad and took him to Karimnagar. He was produced before Second Additional Junior Civil Judge Premalatha on Tuesday morning, where he was granted conditional bail in all three cases.
The court directed Kaushik Reddy to furnish a surety of Rs. 2 lakh by Thursday and cooperate with the investigation. He assured the court that he would attend hearings when summoned and refrain from making any controversial remarks in the future.
While being escorted to the court from the Karimnagar Third Town Police Station, Kaushik Reddy spoke to the media. He stated that he would continue to question the Congress party until it fulfills its promises to the people.
