Hyderabad: 14-year-old Girl Ends Life After Parents Grill her on New Phone
Hyderabad: A 14-year-old student died by suicide at her house in Edimma Basti, Injapur. Vanasthalipuram police said her parents had scolded her for having a new mobile phone but not telling them who gave it. The parents are recently spotted her with a youth and had scolded her.
In a separate incident, Bagvat Pallavi, 23, died by suicide at her hostel in Gowlidoddi following harassment by a stalker for three months, Gachibowli police said. The accused was identified as Naveen alias Johnson. The victim left a suicide note addressed to her parents in which she stated that she was harassed by Naveen.

Hyderabad: Two women posed as food safety inspectors to avoid paying the bill at a restaurant, LB Nagar inspector Vinod Kumar said. The hotel management called the police, after which they paid the bill and left the scene immediately.
2 RPF Cops Save Man in Bid to Die By Suicide
Hyderabad: RPF head constable P. Srinivas and constable Dolly rescued a 43-year-old man who was attempting to die by suicide at the Bhongir railway station. He was counselled and reunited with his family. Debashmita Chattopadhyay Banerjee, senior divisional security commissioner, Secunderabad, the RPF had rescued 48 persons who were attempting to die by suicide so far this year.
Man Dies of Electric Shock While Fixing Sheet on Ganesh Mandap
Hyderabad: A 33-year-old man died from an electric shock that he suffered while fixing a plastic sheet on a Ganesh mandap, Narayanguda police said. The incident occurred late on Monday night in Rajmohalla Narendra Bhavan when the victim Prahalad Pradhan came in contact with a high tension wire. He was taken to a hospital where he died.
Three Held for Obstructing Demoliton
Hyderabad: Three persons who had obstructed the demolition of structures illegally built around the Sunnam Cheruvu were taken into preventive custody by the Madhapur police on Tuesday.
The three individuals, Venkatesh, his wife Lakshmi, and his brother Naresh, had attempted to die by suicide in protest against the demolition that was being carried out by HYDRAA, said Madhapur inspector Krishna Mohan.
25-yr-old Sentenced to 5-yr Jail for Sexual Assault on Minor Girl
Hyderabad: A 25-year-old private company employee was on Tuesday sentenced to five years rigorous imprisonment for sexually assaulting a minor girl in 2019.
The accused, Middapalli Vikram of Gunnepalli of Mahbubabad district, was arrested by Hayathnagar police in 2019 after the victim’s family members lodged a complaint against that he had eloped the minor and sexually assaulted her.
After completion of trial, the fast-track court special judge of Rangareddy district pronounced the conviction. Apart from five years RI, the court also imposed a fine of `10,000 on the convict and a compensation of `1 lakh to the victim.
Cops Recover Gun from Drug Agents
Hyderabad: The Rajendranagar special operations team on Tuesday recovered a country-made pistol and 11 live rounds, during the arrest of five drug traffickers, two from Uttar Pradesh and three from Mumbai. Police also seized the ganja worth 254 kg that they were carrying, and a car, all worth `1.04 crore, near the ORR service road. Police identified the accused as Thakur Sachin Singh, Mohammed Nadeem, Mohd Saqlain, Mohd Saleem and Prashanth Singh.
Police said Sachin Singh of Sultanpur district, UP, had been transporting dry ganja for five years from Araku Valley of AP to his native state. Sachin Singh had recently purchased a .32 country-made pistol with 11 rounds from one Sunil Singh from UP.
On September 6, Sachin Singh called Nadeem, Saqlain and Saleem from Mumbai to escort his cargo of drugs. They purchased the ganja from one Raju in Araku Valley on September 8. The contraband was supposed to be split into two consignments, to be delivered separately to one Amit Singh in UP.
The gang was arrested when they stopped at service road to divide the ganja. Two persons, Vinod Kumar Yadav and Ravinder Yadav, escaped, and the police apprehended the five others. Eleven live rounds were also recovered from their possession. Police said they had fixed fake number plates to their car.
Speaking of the information on firing at the scene, Rajendranagar circle inspector K. Kastro said, “The accused had locked up the car after seeing the police, in order to arrest them, we had to break the glass. Media reporters present thought we fired at them.”
